Weekend Fun

This past weekend was full of fun, just like the one before! My brother-in-law, Jay, came to visit us from Friday until today. Usually my big sister, Julie, comes to visit with a child or two (she has five!) and Jay always stays home to watch the others. He realized that he had never been to see us since we've lived in Hartwell and had never seen the farm. So that was reason enough for him to plan a trip to visit! We were excited to have him here for the weekend. :)

On Friday Jason and Max took him on a tour of the farm while I stayed home with Adelyn. That night we decided to grill hamburgers and just hang out at home.

These two pictures of Max are blurry but I wanted to show his sweet smiles!

He looks like he's about to go to Kindergarten in this picture!

The next day was spent playing outside and enjoying the weather. The boys got the four wheeler from Memommy and Pop's, sprayed some weeds and gave some rides!

Jason made a "road" through the field behind our house so Max could ride his tractor on it.

Jay wanted me to shoot a video of it for Julie!

Jason decided it was time for me to get on the lawn mower. Now I did my share of lawn mowing back in college - pushed a lawn mower in the yard every Saturday (not self-propelled, mind you!) - but never had ridden one before. I have to say, it was pretty fun! I think I need to increase my speed next time though. :) (Jason decided to shoot this too)

Adelyn even got a ride on the lawn mower.

That night we left the kids at home, picked up Jason's friend, Phillip, and headed to Lawrenceville, our old stomping ground. We ate at On the Border and then headed to the Gwinnett Braves baseball game. We had a blast!

On Sunday we went to church and heard a powerful message geared toward all the men there that day. We just started a new series called Adam and Eve, and yesterday was amazing. Perry really challenged the men and their role as husbands, dads and just being a man in today's culture. We then ate lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon at home just relaxing outside. I cooked dinner last night, we watched a movie and then it was time to say goodbye to "Uncle Jay" this morning. :(

We loved having him here and are so thankful for our wonderful FAMILY!!!

Love,
Amy
