During the third week of August we went on vacation with my family to Myrtle Beach. We stayed in North Myrtle in an area called Crescent Beach. We rented a big beach house with two levels - the Reidsma family stayed on top, and the Boers, my parents and us were on the bottom! It was such a beautiful house and the perfect place for us to stay. Julie did an amazing job finding it! We had our own pool in the back, golf carts to ride to the beach and lots of baby items that we would need!
We had a great time swimming and playing at the beach and would usually go there in the morning. After lunch, we would head out to the pool and swim some more. We went out to eat one night in NC, did some shopping, golfing, and visited the aquarium there too. Unfortunately, we didn't get as much outside time as we wanted since it rained EVERY single day we were there. It didn't rain all day but at least once each day. It was crazy! There were certainly times when we were thankful for iPhones, iPads and DVDs. Ha ha!
I am so thankful that I got to spend a whole week with my family and for them to drive such a long distance for vacation! It was AWESOME!
